The German Shepherd Dog in the Community

Some members of the German Shepherd Dog Club on a recent get-together with the rest of the dog fraternity involved in the Vispet Program. They travelled in to the city by train, and created much interest from the general public.

These members give up their time to visit the nursing homes and hospitals with their dogs. Many of the patients had to give up their beloved pets when they entered into the homes or hospitals, and so eagerly look forward to the contact they have with the visiting dogs. The joy they give to these people is well worth the time spent, and the dogs certainly love the cuddles, pats and tidbits they get.
