GSDCV Supports the Good Friday Appeal

The German Shepherd Dog Club of Victoria is actively
involved in community charity efforts, one of which is the annual Good Friday
Appeal.
This year was no exception.
In our 22nd year of participation, our members again joined many other
Victorians to help support a worthy cause.
Representatives of the Bendigo, Eastern, Northern, Skye and Western branches,
and Shane Fraser took to the streets with their loyal four pawed friends to
generate contributions from the public.
Attired in Easter bunny ears and tails, carrying the club banner and
walkingtheir dogs- our volunteers were distinctive and enjoyed the occasion.
Their efforts resulted in a final sum of $ 21,199.10 in their collection boxes.
The club walkabout over the 22 years, since Western Branch first started, has
raised the substantial collection sum of $ 217,149.85.
Special mention and thanks go to our co-ordinators, Bernie Lester, Lyn
Pickering, and Dom Cafari from the Western Branch, and all participants.
The GSDCV continues to be involved in worthy community events,
while showcasing our noble breed to the public.
